Most video editors include pre-set transition effects, but advanced ones allow you to make numerous adjustments to individual effects. If you want more control, you may create your own morphing or warping effects with WinMorph. It provides a set of easy to understand controls, for blending and distorting pictures and more.

Downloading and installing WinMorph should not take more than a minute. It works as a stand-alone application, but you can also install WinMorph plug-ins for Adobe Premiere, Vegas Video and Wax. Besides that, the software is absolutely free, for personal or business use.

You need only a few minutes to experiment with the software's functions, before you can start creating your own effects. Morphing and warping projects are created with separate options, which are located on a toolbar. You can find various tools and options around the editing area. The interface is not overloaded with options, so you can find what you need right away.

If you want to start a morphing project, you must select two images on an Open dialog. The procedure is quite simple. The loaded pictures are displayed side by side and you must use a rectangle, ellipse or other drawing tools to outline certain elements on your images. For example, if you want to morph one face into another, you must outline both faces and certain elements, like eyes, lips and so on. When you draw a shape, an exact duplicate will appear on the second picture as well.

After drawing one or more shapes, you can move or edit them with different tools. Another tool will show you the association between shapes, if your project contains too many. The output options are located on a separate window. Besides selecting a path and format, you can also set a precision level, a number of frames and a frame rate.

Pros

The software makes it easy to create morphing and warping effects. It includes everything you need to edit and export your effects. WinMorph supports various input and output formats, including JPEG, BMP, TIFF, AVI, MPEG and SWF.

Cons

There are no serious disadvantages to mention. WinMorph gives you complete freedom to create and adjust your own morphing and warping effects.
